This month is Wisdom month. Why? Because, as we’ve all experienced with past New Year resolutions, knowing how to do something is not enough to get it done. We need something else and, we now know, it’s wisdom. That’s why you’ll love our feature interview and article with Vikas Malkani, whom I call Mr Wisdom. Check it out.

WorkLife-Nov-Dec-2018

WorkLife eMag – Nov-Dec 2018 Issue

Although it can be an exciting and loving season, sadly, for many, it’s also the Stress Season. I know because it’s the busiest time of the year for our mental health professionals, therapist and coaches. For many of our clients, the busy-ness of trying to get everything wrapped up by an end-of-year deadline, the financial stretch that comes with gift giving or travel, family issues, or loneliness can all make it a difficult time.

Of course, I’m not saying that all mental health issues can be solved simply by love. I’m not. But, if it heals just a little, just like the research shows, it does, then won’t it have been worth it? Maybe you can even share this special issue of WorkLife?

WorkLife-Oct-2018

WorkLife eMag October-2018 Issue

October is Mental Health Month, but you’ve probably heard all about it. It’s all about creating mental health awareness. But how much more awareness do we need? Don’t we know by now that mental health is important, that is costing us massively, and that we need to do something about it? And the even bigger question is what will we DO with our increased awareness?

I’m hoping that as a society, in Australia and around the world, the increased awareness results in healthier people, not simply in the identifying of more sick people.

It is my hope that, as you read this month’s WorkLife issue, you too get ideas for that kind of frank discussion. Our cover has Real Housewives of New York Wives star, Bethanny Frankel. An exceptional business woman and someone who has had her share of difficult times and has had to develop resilience. It’s a short but interesting interview. Check it out.

WorkLife-Sep-2018

WorkLife eMag September-2018 Issue

This September issue of WorkLife is dedicated to the Future of Work. Yes, we’re assuming work has a future and we’ve dared to explore it.

Why? Because as we deliver consulting and education to more and more corporations and organizations around the world, we are seeing increasing levels of work-related stress and anxiety, in part brought about by the way in which work and workplaces are changing.

We know that mental health and wellbeing at work is strongly associated with overall wellbeing – after all, work occupies so much of our lives. But, we also know that work can be good for wellbeing and for recovery from mental disorders! Have a read and watch the interview with Michelle Duval.

WorkLife-eMag-cover-Aug-2018

WorkLife eMag August-2018 Issue

This month’s feature is about a dog called Shirelle. Or at least it is in principle. The truth is that it is about a dear, wise, friend of mine, Doug Green. Doug is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with childhood issues. There is a lot that is special about Doug, but what is really unique to Doug, is his love of animals, and the way he incorporates them into his work.

So the story is about his dog Shirelle and what Shirelle taught him about life, love, loss, communication and healing. It’s about what Doug has done with that knowledge and how ‘Shirelle’ has gone on to change the lives of tens of thousands of kids and young people around the world, even after death. Read the entire story with other good articles in this August edition. All crafted to help people with their WorkLife.
